A 31-year-old man tried to commit suicide by consuming phenyl in large quantities at his residence in Morewasti, Chikali's.
The man identified as Vijay Mahadevrao Bhore (31) was rushed to the hospital by his relatives after he started vomiting uncontrollably and laterconfessed to the act. At YCM hospital, he was given emergency medical treatment but relatives insisted that he be shifted to another hospital.
He was later taken to Chinchwad's Dhanashree hospital for further treatment but he was said to be stable at the time of his discharge against medical advice from YCM hospital.
