A Delhi-based website is offering its services to help find ideal life partners for people from Himachal and Uttarakhand

Looking for conjugal bliss? Head for the India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan that was inaugurated on Sunday. It's not business as usual at the event this year. Apart from the general stalls which are promoting myriad wares, a banner displayed at the Uttarakhand pavilion is calling attention to a website, https://www.uttarakhandshadi.com/.

the 30th India International Trade Fair

The sign says, "Please contact us for Gadhwali and Kumaoni relationships". This is being touted as a first of its kind niche venture. The Delhi-based company has been operating from its office in Mayur Vihar Phase- II for the past three years. The website owners claim they have been doing good business, and they expect a huge number of footfalls during the Trade Fair.

"It is a noble venture. We are just trying to help people meet their life partners," said Tulsi Joshi, owner of the website. The company has collaborations with the people from Uttarakhand and has reportedly managed to contribute in more than 150 marriages till date.

"Almost the whole city comes to visit the Trade Fair. By this means we become more approachable to them," added Tulsi. The website promises to arrange the perfect match within a week by getting all necessary details from the concerned parties.

"As soon as they submit the documents with us, we start working on them. Until and unless both bride and groom are ready for the marriage we don't support the alliance," added Tulsi.u00a0u00a0

The company is expecting a huge response from 19th of November when the fair opens to the general public. And there is no dearth of enthusiasts. "I think it is a very creative idea. They are doing a great thing; I will definitely add my profile," said Sebontee Saha, a 26-year-old from Himachal.

"I have been searching for my life partner for long. I want to marry within my caste but haven't found a suitable match so far . Maybe I am destined to meet somebody through this website," said 28-year-old Kshitij Sharma.

Others feel the Trade Fair is not the appropriate place to conduct matrimonial alliances. "Though it will not harm anybody, but this should not be done so openly. I feel that the Trade Fair is not the right place to find a bride or groom," said Madhuri Balodi, a media professional.
