Nearly 90 per cent of Delhi Metro commuters are happy with punctuality of trains, cleanliness of stations and ticketing facilities, claims an in-house survey conducted by the DMRC.
The survey was conducted by Delhi Metro in March covering nearly 34,000 commuters on all six operational lines amounting to 2 per cent of the total ridership. Over 15 lakh people travel on Delhi Metro everyday.
Aimed at assessing the "overall satisfaction levels" of Metro commuters, the survey was conducted through random sampling by distributing questionnaires among the commuters, DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal said.
"An overwhelming 89 per cent of the commuters surveyed ranked the Delhi Metro services between 'excellent' to 'good'. While 8 per cent commuters said the overall services were 'excellent', 50 per cent opined that the services were 'very good'. About 31 per cent of the commuters ranked the services as 'good'," he said.
With regard to punctuality of trains, the survey said 93 per cent of the commuters expressed their satisfaction. "While 47 per cent said punctuality in the system was 'good', 33 per cent ranked it in the 'very good' category.
