A fly kept Delhi Finance Minister A K Walia company while he presented the budget yesterday

US President Barack Obama may have smacked a fly, which kept bothering him, during a television interview at the White House last week, but Delhi finance minister A K Walia, chose not to fall for au00a0 similar trap.

A persistent fly kept buzzing around Walia while he was delivering the budget speech yesterday. Instead of swatting the fly, he kept ducking the insect for over 30 minutes inside the Vidhan Sabha premises.

As soon as the minister roseto speak, a fly appeared from no where, and kept hovering around him, giving him a tough time.

For the first few minutes, Walia tried to shoo away the fly with his hands, but couldn't succeed.

Bogged down by the efforts, he used his handkerchief to wipe his sweat from the exertion. The drama continued till the last minute of the minister's speech.

The Obama act

During an interview with CNBC's John Harwood, a pesky fly kept buzzing around Obama. When it persistently intruded, the President yelled "Get out of here."

When it didn't, he waited for the fly to settle, put his hand up and then killed it in a smart smack-down with his bare hands.

Obama's fly-swipe has been replayed on television like a significant sporting feat and predictably has become an instant YouTube sensation.

Animal activists condemned the act of the US President and PETA has now taken it upon itself to school the President.

It is sending Obama a custom-built Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher a device that allows users to trap a fly and then release it
