Minor argument ends friend's life

At 3.30 pm yesterday, Deepak John Paul (22), breathed his last breath when he was killed unexpectedly by his own friend (22) at Ramaswamy Palya in Banaswadi police station limits.

At 3.30 pm yesterday, Deepak John Paul (22), breathed his last breath when he was killed unexpectedly by his own friend (22) at Ramaswamy Palya in Banaswadi police station limits.

According to investigating officials, the incident occurred when Deepak was with three of his other friends in a room at Banaswadi having a gala time.

Deepak, David, Vinod and Dinesh were poking fun at each other. However, the jesting took a serious turn when David was offended by Deepak's comments and they started arguing.

"David was cutting vegetables and threw the knife at Deepak, which injured his neck and chest," said ACP N Narasimhaiah.

"It was not done deliberately but unfortunately Deepak got injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital and later on the way to Bowring Hospital he succumbed to his injuries," added ACP N Narasimhaiah.

According to preliminary results, Deepak died because of loss of blood.

According to the police, they were intimated of the crime at 7 pm and immediately rushed to the spot and started investigating.

David, who committed the crime, has been taken in to custody. A case of murder has been registered at the Banaswadi police station.
