She was abducted and rescued in a matter of few hours. 5-year-old Sangeeta was recovered by the Delhi police on Sunday from the clutches of a labour contractor. At around 6.30pm on July 4, Sangeeta was on her way home in Shahabad Dairy, with her mother Champa Devi (25) and sister Sunita (7). Suddenly a man and a woman on a bike arrived and abducted Sangeeta.
"We received a PCR call of kidnapping at around 6.30 pm. Our team immediately approached the spot and found the complainant. The girl's mother had remembered the number of the bike. A wireless message was flashed with available details. And after two hours our team arrested the accused at a check post and recovered the girl," said a police officer.

| A 22-year-old man was arrested on June 29 for allegedly kidnapping a teenager he was in a relationship with. Ravi, a resident of Faridabad, had allegedly kidnapped the girl, based in South Delhi's Mehrauli, on June 11. The girl's father had raised suspicion about Ravi.
