A mob of around 60-70 people allegedly barged into a 27-year-old eunuch Sita Kinnar's house at Anand Parbat in central Delhi on Monday night at round 11.30 pm and looted cash and valuables.
Kinnar, who was in shock after the incident, told the police that her neighbour called up her to inform that a mob had allegedly ransacked her house.
"I immediately went to the police station," said Kinnar, who is also the chief of the Panther's Kinnars Front Convenor, a group that recently organised a fashion show for eunuchs.
Kinnar told Mid DAY, "When I along with the cops entered the house, I found all my belongings, including television and refrigerator lying smashed on the ground. They even stole money from my locker."
Kinnar claimed that a few shopkeepers of the area might be behind the incident.
She also told the police that on Sunday when she was having an argument with a rickshaw-puller over "rash driving", a man standing at a nearby pharmaceutical store interfered and abused her. She claimed that soon people of the area gathered there in support of the rickshaw-puller.
On Tuesday, a group of eunuchs protested in front of the Anand Parbat police station against police inaction.
