A moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale shook Jammu and Kashmir this morning.
The quake was felt at 0919 hrs in several parts of the state, including capital Srinagar, and areas bordering Pakistan, Met office said in New Delhi.
No casualty or damage was immediately reported, it said. The epicentre lay in the Indo-Pak border region.
