An 18-year-old boy who was travelling without a ticket in the first class compartment of a CST-bound train, assaulted a ticket collector on Sunday. The Kalyan GRP has registered a case and is looking for the boy.


Sumit Kumar Singh, a resident of Titwala, posted as a ticket collector with the Central Railway, in his statement to the Kalyan GRP, said that his duty was at Kasara station from 9am to 5pm. Around 12.40 pm, an 18-year-old boy got off a first class compartment of the CST bound train. Singh was standing at the door to check tickets and asked the boy for his, to which he replied, "I am a local," Singh then asked him about travelling in the first class without a ticket, to which he said, "Mein roz bina ticket aaunga, jaunga, tum kya kar loge."


The boy then slapped Singh and ran away. Singh immediately informed the GRP and RPF and was taken to hospital. Later in the evening, he filed a complaint at the Kalyan Police station and gave them the details of the boy.
