But don't worry, we got the remedy you need. For your eating pleasure, we've listed the best rolls in town. So wherever you are, you're never too far from the roll of your dreams.
Tandoori Mushroom Roll
At: Oye! Punjabi, Shop No. 3, ground floor, MHADA Complex, Link Road, Oshiwara, Andheri (W).
Call: 32992134
Roll rating: Three bites out of five
Why it's good: Because the mushroom and paratha combination works surprisingly well. It's a slightly more exotic option for the vegetarian who's sick of paneer fare. This one won't disappoint even hardcore chicken eaters.

Hangla's, Malad (W), Andheri (W), Bandra (W).
Call: 32241415, 26744777, 9833324730
Roll rating: Four bites out of five
Why it's good: Because if it were any better, it would be illegal.
This is the absolute diet cheat -- flat, thick, crusty paratha stuffed to the brim with deliciously sinful mutton (and comes with a side order of Aloo Masala). At first look, you might mistake it for a Mutton Puff. But there's no mistaking the joy you'll experience with every bite. Eat this one hot off the coals since it might get a bit tough to sink into when cold. And there's quite a bit in one plate, so take a friend along.

Hot Chicken Kebab Roll
At: The Bridge Coffee shop, Level 1, Haiko Place, Hiranandani Complex, Powai.
Call: 9821575331
Roll rating: Four bites out of five
Why it's good: Because it's so unexpected.
You don't expect a good street roll to come out of a posh cafu00c3u00a9 in a suburban mall, would you? The kababs are cooked just right; soft and juicy. And the veggies don't overpower the chicken. (Don't you just hate playing find-the-stray-chicken-piece-under-an-avalanche-of-cabbage?) The taste is balanced, allowing flavours to play with each other on your palate. And the paratha is delicious on its own. This one is worth stopping for, when you go shopping to Haiko.

Mince Egg Roll
At: Noorani's, 5-D Tardeo Road Haji Ali Road.
Call: 23538619
Roll rating: Three-and-a-half bites out of five
Why it's good: Because the kheema is densely packed in a soft roomali roti.
The roll is sliced into five even parts, which is good because it makes the eating less messy. The kheema is tasty, and a wee bit spicy, so heartburn regulars better ask the chef to take it down a notch. We suggest you wash it down with a fresh watermelon juice from across the road at Haji Ali Juice Centre.

Baida Roti
At: Maroosh, Phoenix Mills Compound, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel.
Call: 9833397060
Roll rating: Three and a half bites out of five
Why it's good: Because it's different from regular egg rolls.
Flat, thick and heavy on egg, this roti treat is for those who say "Boo" to carbs. Though the taste is subtle, it still hits you like a ton of bricks. The spicy mint chutney it comes with might leave you slurping, but the joint is strategically located next to Natural's Ice Cream, so dowsing the spice fires with an icy dollop is easy.

Chicken Shawarma Roll
At: Picadilly, Donald House, Colaba Causeway.
Call: 32053233
Roll rating: Four-and-a-half bites out of five
Why it's good: Because it's a meal in itself.
Crisp, barbequed strips of chicken gently tease your taste buds, while the lightly pickled vegetables, French fries and garlic sauce (all packed inside the pita bread roll) send your senses into overdrive. Order two to begin with if you don't want to kick yourself while waiting for the second one.
