Social networking's passe. Delhi's keeping busy with a musical networking fest this weekend. Jump in

"It's for the first time that there's a big focus on India. There are participants from China to Amsterdam, and 27 artistes are playing at a fest. It's not just about musical merry-making, but talent buyers will also be present," says Amit Saigal, Rock Street Journal chief and organiser.

Club-onomics

International artistes are enthusiastic. "Music here is quite mixed. In Europe, people go to clubs strictly for dancing. No food. No drinks. Clubbing came from Chicago and Detroit after the economic slowdown post the wars. But here, it's different. And now, the digital revolution has changed everything in India, electronica in particular. Expensive equipment doesn't need to be imported anymore. It's this development that we're talking," smiles DJ Ralph of 'Cologne on Pop'. Note-worthy networking, no?
