Bollywood Ka Salaam is a mega-musical penned by theatre stalwart Nadira Babbar based on Hindi cinema of the 1950s. The play, being staged at Tata Theatre, is at once a nostalgic trip for the older generation and a history lesson for younger film buffs. To maintain the feel of a bygone era, the play will be showcased only in tones of black and white -- the characters too will don costumes only in hues of black and white.
If it's a more contemporary theme that attracts your attention, make your way to the Experimental Theatre for a dekko of The Interview. Written by Siddharth Kumar, this play follows a nervous young man, who is waiting for a job interview at one of the country's largest corporations. The interview turns out quite unlike his expectations but the man is keen on bagging the job. Is the job truly worth dying for?

Ghalib se Gulzar is a one-of-a-kind festival of ghazals features some of the best singers in the country -- Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udhas, Bhupinder and Mitali Singh, Roop Kumar and Sonali Rathod, and Talat Aziz -- who will perform classic and contemporary works by famous poets. The ghazal maestros will perform works by great poets like Mirza Ghalib, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Kaifi Azmi, Nida Fazli, Josh, Sahir Ludhianvi, Hazrat Iqbal, Majrooh Sultanpoori and the Oscar Award-winning lyricist Gulzar. It has been three years that Blue Frog has been playing host to live gigs. This weekend, Mumbai's favourite live Indie music venue will host its 1,000th gig and to celebrate, they have planned a special celebration with DJ Astrix from Israel.
The Trance DJ and producer Avi Shmailov, aka Astrix, specialises in the sub-genre of Full On Psychedelic Trance. His musical agenda is the ultimate clash between underground and mainstream music, transforming his pieces to uplifting Trance composed with sophisticated melodies, a sprinkle of Progressive House, and occasional vocals.
DJ Astrix's live gigs are very popular across many nations and continents. As an incredibly popular DJ, Astrix always thinks of how to tailor his sets and productions for his devoted fans. He is musically influenced by Infected Mushroom, Linkin Park and Tiesto. He has also worked with Alien Project, Astral Projection, Atomic Pulse, and other musicians .
