NCP leader invites Sunny Leone to Dahi Handi in Pune

Sunny Leone of Jism 2 fame is all set to pull in the crowds at the Dahi Handi celebrations organised in the city by local NCP leader Kiran Dagade Patil.

Despite the fact that the Indian-origin Canadian porn star’s bold poses on hoardings of her Bollywood film unnerved many in the NCP Mumbai unit, Dagade Patil is keen on her presence at the event.

The NCP leader, who is the district vice-president of the NCP, has invited Leone as the chief guest for his Dahi Handi celebrations and paid Rs 5 lakh to rope in the Bigg Boss entrant.

“We have a group called Akhil Bavdhan Dahihandi Mandal and every year we celebrate the festival on a big scale,” Dagade Patil said. “This year we decided to bring Sunny Leone and through one of our friends, we managed to rope in the Jism 2 actress and decided to pay Rs 5 lakh for her presence.”

NCP MP not amused
NCP MP and former city party president Vandana Chavan, who is in Delhi, expressed surprise over the enthusiasm shown by her party workers in extending an invitation to Leone.

“There is a drought-like situation in the state and it is surprising to know that people are ready to spend Rs 5 lakh to invite a celebrity as a chief guest,” she said. Chavan said she would take up the issue with the party high command. u00a0
