About 3,000 Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) students from Nashik who had failed their final year exam yesterday met Board of College and University and Development (BCUD) Director Vasudev Gade and submitted a letter of demands, asking the authorities to look into the matter and take corrective measures.

Gade said that three students visited him in his office and gave the memorandum. "Some of them will apply for revaluation and the issue should be sorted out then," he said. Some 3,000 students of the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha had locked the local office of the Pune University in Nashik a few days ago and demanded reassessment of answer-sheets of some of the students who had failed the final year exam. Students claimed the rate of failure was unreasonably high compared to earlier years.
