Trips to most art galleries satiate the soul but leave the belly empty. Art Positive, a multi-art hub that opens its doors to capital-folk today, allows you to munch on sandwiches and sip some latt ufffd as you glance through paintings, walk past installations and flip through a couple of covers.

Surrounded by semi-circular glass walls, cosy coffee tables and faux-leather chairs, Caf ufffdartarea, its chomp corner, offers garden fresh sandwiches, cakes and beverages.
"The idea of including a caf ufffd in an art gallery struck during myu00a0 trips to European museums and art houses," says Anu Bajaj, director. The gallery boasts not only books dedicated to arts, but also subjects ranging from Indian philosophy to palmistry and textiles to yoga.
Tapping young talent
Not many know that Art Positive has been active since 2005 on the web, dealing exclusively inu00a0 Lord Ganesha paintings.
But this time, with 2,200 square feet of physical space, it harbours the works of its Bajaj Capital Art House Fellowship finalists through its pilot exhibition, Art Spotting.
u00a0Haribaabu Naatesan, the winner of this year's fellowship, is among the many young Indian artists whose works are being showcased. His abstract and geometrical rendering inspired by e-waste, are intriguing. "When I saw e-waste piling up in the office, I couldn't help but make something productive out of it," he explains.
Workshops for kids
The gallery also has a variety of other activities planned for children this month. There is a painting and drawing workshop led by artist Nupur Kundu in the last week of the month. Around the same time, lensman Sandeep Biswas will teach photography. The gallery also has workshops on puppetry and creative writing on its itinerary for the next month.
