Book titled Te Divas, an autobiography of the playwright's early days, was released in the city yesterday
On the first death anniversary of noted playwright Vijay Tendulkar, his autobiography detailing his early days in theatre was released in the city yesterday.

He added that the 100-page book analyses several issues that the state has faced in the 50s and 60s. Besides, Te Divas captures the hardships and joys of a 19-year-old Tendulkar's life.
This book also gives interesting information about Rashtriya Swayansevak Sangh (RSS). Tendulkar used to attend RSS meetings in his early school days but later he turned into one of its harshest critics.
The author had told this reporter on his 80th birthday that the book would chronicle a series of socio-political events he had witnessed.
"It will be my social biography in which, I will analyse the six decades after Independence," the late Tendulakar had said.
Tendulkar was also a good cartoonist as well and drewseveral sketches in his last days. "We hope to publish a book solely on his drawing and sketching caricatures," Majgaonkar said.
