They discussed his new role in the union cabinet.u00a0Nandan told the CM thatu00a0the biggest challenge in his new job as head of the Unique Identification Database project isu00a0to prevent duplication of the UID cards.
He said he willu00a0leverage technology to the maxmum to tackle this problem. "We willu00a0start building the nationwide
database using the best of technology, including biometrics," said Nandan.
Yeddyurappa said he wasu00a0very proudu00a0of Nilekaniu00a0for taking on such a signicant responsibility in the union government and hopes the state will also benefit.
