Even after a fortnight since the National Investigating Agency (NIA) confirmed that David Coleman Headley had stayed in Pune on June 24, 2008 and on March 16, 2009, cops are clueless of Headley's accommodation details in June 2008.
Headley was arrested by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on October 3 this year in Chicago. During his interrogation he confirmed that he had visited Pune and many other cities in India. The Foreign Registration Office (FRO) at the Pune Commissioner's Office confirmed that Headley stayed at Surya Villa Hotel for a day, but there is no information available on where he stayed on June 24, 2008.
Tedious process
DCP Ravindra Sengaonkar (Special Branch) told MiD DAY, "There is no concrete information available on Headley's stay in 2008."
Sengaonkar added, "We have ordered the scrutiny of the C-forms from 2006. This exercise has to be done manually, and therefore is a time-consuming process."
