Oil racket busted, seven held
The Central Crime Branch police have busted a racket involved in the sale of adulterated petrol and kerosene. Seven persons have been arrested in this connection.u00a0
Police had received complaints about a gang that was converting blue kerosene to be supplied to the public through PDS into white kerosene. They were also selling adulterated petrol to the public.

The squad conducted raid on E S N. Enterprises (Dealers in Chemicals and Solvent) at Lake View Layout in Haralur village.

It was found that the accused persons used to convert the blue kerosene into white kerosene. They also used to mix solvent into the petrol and sell the adulterated petrol and white kerosene to the public.

Forty three barrels each of 210 litre capacity, 19 plastic cans each of 35 litres capacity filled with adulterated petrol and white kerosene, empty barrels and plastic cans, sulphuric acid, chalk powder, chemicals used to convert blue kerosene into white kerosene and the two Maruthi vans, five two wheelers used for transporting the adulterated petrol and white kerosene for sale in 24 outlets in Bangalore were seized.u00a0
