City astrologers predict that babies born on 20/10/2010, a date which comes once in 1,000 years, would grow up to be unique personalities.
Explaining that the way the numbers are positioned makes the date special, numerologist Basvaraj said, "Any boy or girl born on this day will grow up to be brilliant and famous, who will mostly get into government jobs like IAS and IPS. They will be thoughtful and always active in mind."

The date seems to be special from the Indian mythological point of view too. "It is the only day when you can view Jupiter and moon on the same sky marking the Gajakesari Yoga. It is an auspicious day, as Lord Rama was also born on the same day. So, the children born on this day are endowed with natural compassion and
calmness."
However, to parents, who welcomed a newborn in their lives on 20/10/2010, the date remains special with or without astrological implications.
Revealing why she chose this particular day to deliver her second baby boy, 31-year-old Gayarthri, a housewife, said, "We were trying to choose a good day for his birth and I was given November 5 as the delivery date but we had to pre-pone it. I was suggested October 21, but I chose 20/10/2010 as the sound of it is unique and everybody can remember it easily."
Around the world on 20/10/10 the United Nations marked this day as the World Statistics Day. Facebook groups have also been created to celebrate this unique date.
