This year, Banyan Tree Events celebrates the 10th anniversary of their annual Sufi music festival, Ruhaniyat. As usual, they have an impressive line-up of artists from across the world, including Whirling Dervishes from Egypt and Baul singer Parvathy Baul from Bengal.
The line up for today includes Mystic Chants by Tibetan Buddhist Monks, Sufi Kalam by Swarna Noora from Jalandhar, Punjab, Mysticu00a0 Jhumur byu00a0 Salabat Mahato from Bengal, Sufi Kalam by the famous Kachra Khan and Group from Rajasthan and Sufi Qawwali by Timmu Gulfam from Jaipur, Rajasthan. Among international artists, watch out for a Tannoura performance by Egyptian Whirling Dervishes and Sundanese Mystic songs by Ade Suparman with Yusdiana from Indonesia.
Tomorrow's performances will begin with Bharud and Abhang recital by Avdhoot Gandhi from Maharashtra. The folk performance will be followed by Jikr-Jari by Hafiza Begum Chaudhury and Group from Assam, Mystic Songs by Mahesharam and Group from Rajasthan, Baul songs by Parvathy Baul from Bengal, Arabic Sufi Songs by Yasir Bakr, Mohammad Farghaly and Group from Egypt and Tanoura by Whirling Dervishes from Egypt. The famous Nizami Brothers from Delhi will conclude the festival with a Sufi Qawwali performance.
