The Regional Transport Office (RTO) would be initiating a special drive from today, under which action would be taken against vehicle owners and drivers for driving without documents like pollution under control (PUC), insurance and tax certificates.
Officials also appealed motorcyclists to installu00a0mud flaps in their vehicles, so that the dirt splashing from their vehicles does notu00a0inconvenience other motorists.

“Motorists must haveu00a0tax certificate, insurance receipt, driving licence, fitness certificate and PUC certificate while travelling. It has beenu00a0discovered that vehicles meant for transportu00a0purposes are being used for various publicity purposes. Many of them display advertisements illegally. All such vehicles will be fined,” Regional Transport Officer Arun Yeola said.
