If you plan to revamp your wardrobe for Christmas and New Year parties, a visit to VDS (Vaibhav Design Studio) should certainly be on the cards.

Barely a few weeks old, the women's wear designer studio offers clothes and accessories designed by owner Yogesh Hadke and hand-picked clothes imported from Hong Kong, China, Bangkok and Dubai.
Hadke started designing since he was 15 and keeps track of the latest trends. "To keep myself updated, I watch the latest movies and read fashion magazines. I am not a trained designer but I have learnt through trial and error," he says.
The store displays one-piece dresses, tops, shirts, jeans, tunics, skirts, leggings, dhoti pants, harem pants, tunics, long tops, shorts, belts, bags, clutch bags, shoes and beaded jewellery.
There is nothing fancy about the interiors but the store is well-organised. Clothes, jewellery and bags are displayed rather neatly. But the clothes racks are overcrowded and there are chances of missing out on a good find if you are in a hurry.
We like their evening wear dresses in satin, georgette, silk and chiffon. Most of the dresses come with halter necks or strapless necklines, which look elegant and stylish. The tunics were trendy and come in attractive prints and colours. We loved their sleeveless tunics, which could be paired with jackets. Don't miss their cotton bags, which are a hit with the college crowd.
However, the casual tops failed to impress us and were just not worth the price. The woolen winter tops were impressive and can be worn with jeans, pants or short pants.
