On Monday, the retired lieutenant colonel was released on bail by Judicial Magistrate (First Class) A M Pathankar. The girl had filed a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. On Monday, when the retired armyman was
produced before the court, he was granted bail after furnishing security of Rs 7,500.

The father of the 14-year-old girl who is abroad contacted the newspaper and said: "It is a shocking incident and we are all traumatised. We had admitted our daughter to tutorials so that her grades would improve but what she went through was shocking. I hope that the tuition institute shuts down and the culprit is punished
so that no other girl goes through a similar humiliation."

According to the second complaint, the incident took place two months ago, when the girl was attending Singh's tutorials. The parents said after the newspaper report was published they decided to come forward and lodge a police complaint.
