If MTV Roadies give you thrills, this is surely going to make you chill with adventure.

A team of daredevils from the Army Signal Corps rode a bike. The adventure part of the ride is that the team consisted of 41 members.

Yes, that is exactly how many people rode a single bike during a show on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Corps of Signal at Signal Enclave in Delhi Cantonment.

The kind of tasks that participants are made to do in the MTV show would proved to be pygmy in comparison to what these men perform daily. With their breathtaking display the team is seeking entry into the Guiness Book of World Records. "We will soon register our feat with the Guiness.

We broke the record for most men riding a bike by one member. The earlier record was 40 men on a bike," Captain Jitender Siwach, leader of the team, told MiD DAY.

The team also holds the record of moving a human pyramid consisting of 251 men on 11 bikes.

Members of the team undergo rigorous practice sessions at their Signal Training Centre, (STC) Jabalpur. The team was formed in 1935 and over the years it gained enviable popularity by performing during the Republic Day parade and several other functions. "We have participated in rallies from Leh to Kanyakumari. We won four bronze medals at World Military Games and have participated in Asiad too," said Captain Siwach.

Captain Siwach rejected any comparisons with the participants of the popular television reality show. "There is no comparison between us and the roadies. We are professionals and we are motivated more by our unique tradition rather than any publicity," the officer said.

The team rides on their trademark 350 cc Royal Enfield -- popularly known as the heaviest bike the country -- and each member is expected to run thorough checks on his bike before each event. "There is no room for error as it can endanger the life of the entire team. Enfield is the most stable bike which minimizes the risk to a large extent," said a team member.

"Roadies became popular only because of media and their rich sponsors. The life threatening stunts which we do can be achieved only with regular practice where you have to act as a team," said another team member.

Joker in the pack
Each stunt team has two bikers dressed as clowns to entertain the children. While the other members of the team give an adrenaline rush with their daring stunts the jokers perform equally difficult actions in a jovial manner.
