Rowdy Poone hacked to death
Notorious rowdy Poone alias Narasimhamurthy wasu00a0hacked to death by a gang of six menu00a0on the busy Mysore Road, near Chamarajpet, this morning.
Poone was traveling inu00a0an SUV,u00a0near Azad Nagar, when the gang stopped his vehicle and attacked him with choppers and other lethal weapons.
Poone, a close confidante of Congress leader and former MLA R V Devaraj, was known for his anti-social activities in and around Chamarjapet area and was wanted by the police in several casesu00a0including murder and extortion.
Chamarajpet police, who are investigating the case, have seized one of the bikes which was left behind by the attackers. The police said old rivalry could haveu00a0led to the murder.
