Two motorcycle-borne men snatched a bag containing Rs.32 lakh in cash from two employees going to deposit a total amount of Rs.95 lakh in a bank, police said Thursday. The robbers were, however, unable to snatch the other bag containing Rs.63 lakh.

The robbery took place in Lahori Gate area of central Delhi when the employees of two partners Surender Jain and Rajnish Garg were on their way to deposit the money in a bank.
The police said that the incident took place at around 10:30 am. The businessman Rajnish Garg lives in Sector 9 in Rohini and has office R S Enterprises on the second floor of Pili Building in Naya Bazar and mostly deals in rice. He has three employees Naresh, Naveen and Raju who collect cash from his client. His office staff told MiD DAY that Rajnish Garg and his staff were heading towards the office when the incident occurred.
"Naveen, Raju and Naresh were in a Swift car while Rajnish was travelling in another car. Rajesh, the driver of Swift, dropped Naveen, Raju and Naresh around 500 meters away from the office. All three were carrying bags containing cash. They were intercepted by two youths who were on a bike and were wearing helmets. The bikers tried to snatch the bags and a scuffle went on. They failed to take all the bags could take only one," said the office staff of the businessman.
