The Mumbai Income Tax department has summoned Sahil Peerzada for an alleged gold fraud worth Rs 464 crore. Peerzada was in the news in connection with an IPL molestation case
The I-T department issued the notice in connection with the fraud that took place four years back in which Sahil along with another person named Raees Khan had defrauded a metal scrap trading corporate of Rs 464 crore.

Peerzada was assaulted and injured while resisting IPL cricketer Luke Pomersbach’s alleged attempt to molest his American fiancee Zohail Hameed in a hotel in New Delhi last week.

Peerzada had to undergo a surgery after his ear was injured when Pomersbach punched him. He was admitted to a hospital and after getting discharged he alleged that Pomersbach punched him three-four times. “Pomersbach misbehaved with Zohail. That’s it. I politely asked him to leave. He did not,” he said.

Pomersbach was arrested and later granted bail by the court after Peerzada withdrew the charges against the Australian.
