"In the last two to three days, our shop has seen an increase in the demand of caps (Gandhi) and flags. Elderly people want to wear the cap with Khadi clothes and the youth think that wearing the cap would give them a different identity, so they wear it with their casual clothes. With this we get to know that even today there is a relevance of Gandhi ji," said Rameshwar Nath Mishra, owner of Shree Gandhi Ashram in Lucknow.

"Jawaharlal Nehru had said that the Gandhi cap or Khadi is a delivery of Independence. Whoever wears it used to think before wearing it and whosoever wears it considers oneself a soldier for the country," added Mishra.
