Adding to the number of students using forged documents to get admission in Delhi University colleges, five more have been found doing the same.
What is surprising here is that these five students of Ramjas College, unlike before, are second-year students and have already completed two years of studies in the college.
MiD DAY had earlier reported the college had found the documents submitted by 21 students during the admission process in 2011, as forged. Of the 21, 18 were from B Com (Prog), two from B Com (Honours) and one from BA (Prog).

The five students held last week too belong to the Commerce department, B Com (Prog). The admissions' convener of the college for this year, PK Malhotra, said, "Five students were found having obtained admission using forged marksheets in the enquiry conducted into the documents of the second-years last week."
Adding to this, he said, such a high number of fakers is possible in the Commerce stream as it has high percentages almost every year. Also, while the five held could not continue their classes in the college, it is yet to be decided whether their admissions will be cancelled too.
Meanwhile, the principal, Dr Rajendra Prasad, said, "The report of the students who have been found guilty of forgery has not been submitted to me yet. We will have to take legal advice in the matter as these students have completed two years of their studies in the college."u00a0
