It is no secret that Indians are uncomfortable when it comes to speaking about sex. Aisi Taisi Democracy (ADT) found it out the hard way at Allahabad's Motilal Nehru Institute of Technology.
The social commentary group was performing at the institute on Wednesday evening. Lyricist Varun Grover, one of the members of the band, the started speaking about sex education in schools. A professor, however, wasn’t feeling too great, and not long after Grover's mic was cut off.
ADT was performing in front of an audience of around 1,800 students. The other members of the group include Indian Ocean band's lead singer Rahul Ram, and satirist Sanjay Rajoura.
ADT took to Twitter to express their displeasure.
Wow. The faculty at NIT Allahabad got so scandalized by our bit on sex ed in a show here that we were removed from stage, mics switched off.

Too shocked and slightly disoriented right now with the way things went now but we will write a longer post on it soon.

For those asking, we were treated very well once off-stage by the students as well as the faculty. All the courtesies were extended.
