The line-up of cars and drivers complete with the gear might remind you of scenes from The Fast and The Furious series but this rally comes with a basic difference.
The Nestor Rally 2010, in co-ordination with IMSC Motor Sports and MiD DAY that flagged off at Forum Value mall last evening follows a Time-Speed-Distance format.
"This is no high-speed rally. Reaching early by a second makes you liable to a double penalty while a second late costs a single penalty," says Santosh KS, CEO, Nestor Motor Sports.

Ashwin Naik, ace navigator, IMSC, having completed 125 national and international rallies said, "It is a form of controlled aggression and involves calculations over three charts that are provided to each of the participants, a tulip (direction) chart, distance sheet and a time chart."
The 44 participants are divided across categories Seeded, Non-seeded, SUVs and Couples.
The seeded categories include those participants who have won other rallies on a similar format anywhere else in the country.
The total component of cash prizes being given out through the rally is Rs 3.5 lakh, the highest being Rs 50,000 for the overall winner.
Calculations of penalties, timing and speed will be recorded on undisclosed locations throughout the route. The route follows a track from the city to Chikmagalur and back to the city via Mysore spanning 1,000 kms over a three-day period.
Not taking the regular routes, the rally takes the participants on a heritage trail around the region.
"We have participants from across the country and this is a way of showing them Karnataka's heritage," Santosh said. The route includes landmark sites like Belur, Halebeedu, Chamundi Hills and Goror Dam.
