Car designer Dilip Chhabria, in his Chinchwad based workshop, will redesign Nano to be a two-seater with state-of-the-art gadgets, including cameras, PC, Internet and games
A new Nano is currently being designed and it will cost Rs 1 crore. No, this is not Ratan Tata's brainchild, rather it belongs to Dilip Chhabria, a city-based international car designer.
Another difference between the two cars is that this is being tailor-made for a young business tycoon.

Chhabria's DC Design, located at Chinchwad, expects to roll out the modified Nano by December 2009.

Chhabria said, "The modification of the Nano will begin after we get the vehicle.

The car's interiors are loaded with Gen-next gizmos.
There's a cowl to floor PC screen, which will display everything from Internet websites, navigation and games, not to mention a customised instrument's panel, which will also be beamed on to the screen.
"There is a door mounted camera for rear vision. So the occupant will not have to look at the rear view mirror. The best thing about Nano is that it lends itself to so much redevelopment," he added.u00a0
The Unique Selling Proposition of the vehicle is its totally futuristic look. The car's gizmos are especially meant for a young, sporty and techno savvy customer.
Chhabria however refuses to reveal the name of the customer who commissioned the car. "All I can says is he is a young business tycoon from the United Kingdom. He will be using this car when he comes to India," he said.
Chhabria has previously designed a Recreational Vehicle (RV) for Sanjay Dutt for Rs 3 crore approximately. With a lounge, a bar, a fully equipped office and a vacuum toilet, it is the first-of-its-kind in India.
He also designed a special bus for LK Advani and bulletproof Volvo buses for three politicians to be used when they are campaigning.
