Teacher held for raping minor for 4 years

A 14-year old student has accused her teacher of raping her repeatedly over the last four years, cops said.

A 14-year-old student alleged that she had been repeatedly raped over a period of four years by her teacher Shailendra Singh, 42, in central Delhi's Hauz Qazi area.

The victim's parents approached police after the accused inadvertently shared some facts about incident with her sister. The victim's sister told her parents, said a police official.

When the victim's parents questioned her, she told them that Singh, had been taking her to different Delhi hotels over the last four years and sexually assaulting her, the officer said.

Singh had threatened to release her indecent pictures on internet if she tried to tell anyone about their relationship.

"Singh was arrested after the medical test of the victim," said the official.
