Despite differences over corruption charges levelled at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Hazare's supporters in city to bury hatchet, support one-day hunger strike; Team Anna earlier alleged that 16 union ministers corrupt
Though a difference of opinion exists between Team Anna and Anna Hazare on corruption charges leveled against Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, all Hazare’s supporters in the city have decided to bury their differences and join hands to support the anti-corruption crusader in organising a one-day hunger strike on June 3.

Members of Team Anna had brought up allegations of corruption against 16 union ministers, including the Prime Minister. It was also alleged that the PM was involved in coal block allotments while he was handling coal and mines portfolio.
Dr Singh had clarified his stand by issuing a statement that he would give up public life if the charges leveled by the activists were proved.
Deepak Bharadiya, coordinator, India Against Corruption (IAC), who is supporting a day-long token strike for Anna’s agitation in Delhi on June 3, said, “These are statements made by individuals from Team Anna. Before coming to any conclusion, there is a need to investigate these charges for authenticity.”
Radheshyam Jagtap, Pune District president, Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Andolan (BVJA), said, “Whatever Team Anna said, we are with Anna. From the beginning he (Anna) has stated that Dr Manmohan Singh is a clean person. He (Anna) will, however, probe the charges made by Team Anna and then give his final version. Anna never makes any blatant statements.”
Vijay Warudkar, coordinator, Bharat Swabhiman, said “Though we are backing Hazare by organising a one-day token hunger strike in the city, the issue raised by Team Anna about alleged corruption against Dr Singh could not be ignored. We need to study more before coming to any logical conclusion on these charges instead of sidetracking them.”
Jaisingh Mapari, Sarpanch, Ralegan siddhi, who is also conducting a daylong token strike to support Hazare, was surprised by the statement issued by Team Anna against the PM.
He said, “All this appears to be very strange, but we are too small to make any comment on this issue.”u00a0u00a0
