Thane Municipal Commissioner R A Rajeev today released a Rs 2,275-crore civic Budget for 2012- 13, which included a slew of development projects.

The civic budget was released by the Commissioner as the Standing Committee of the newly elected general body of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has not yet been formed after last month's election.u00a0

A total of 34 projects have been planned in the budget for the next year.

These include setting up of a marketing cell for increasing revenue of the corporation, a mass transit project and construction of a drama theatre at Kalwa.
