WHO will pile up the metal? Who won't take home a single trophy? Who will bag all the big awards? We pick the most popular awards and do the math for you a month ahead of the 52nd Annual GRAMMY awards slated to be held at the Staples Centre, Los Angeles. We've also slipped in our wish-list. Cunning.
Record of The Year
WHAT: Halou00a0 Beyonce
WHY: Besides the fact that she's America's hottest pick currently, Beyonce aka Sasha Fierce has gone ahead and released her most mature, hookiest album till date. And because Taylor Swift, who's bagged the maximum number of nominations (eight) after Beyonce is so poppy that it drains you. Although Lady GaGa's burst of lightning beats and life in Poker Face will put up a good fight.

Album of The Year
WHAT: I Am Sasha Fierce Beyonce
WHY: Look at Record of The Year Again. Besides you have to be dreaming if you think Black Eyed Peas' kooky dance funk-soaked The E.N.D. and DMB's Big Whiskey and The Groogrux King with their usual stormy riffs will win.
Song of The Year
WHAT: Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)
WHY: Because it's sounds like a mean, leggy b***h in a
cat-suit. There is no stopping Sasha Fierce from demolishing the dance floor. If there are a bunch of radical jury members they'd give this one away to GaGa because her psych-pop hit with its blazing electronica pulse deserves it.
Best New Artiste
WHO: MGMT
WHY: Listen to their Weekend Wars, Kids and everything else they've put out and you'll realise that they are the most innovative band of the year . The Ting Tings for GRAMMY? Hahaha
Best Female Pop Vocal Performance
WHO: Beyonce
WHY: It's obvious now isn't it? And Adele and Kate Perry in the running is a joke really. I'm still not sure how Taylor Swift's You belong with me, a shinyu00a0 ditty about her buddy dating a popular b*%$h hit big. Blame it on the hysteric sophomores.
Best Male Pop Vocal Performance
WHO: John Legendu00a0 This Time
WHY: Legend endorsed Obama (like the rest of America's rock fraternity). So I'm saying there might be Presidential pressure here. Or they'd play it safe and give it away to Stevie Wonder, an all-time favourite at the GRAMMYs. But if I had to choose from the gut this would go to Jason Mraz for his sunny superhit Make It Mine.
Best Pop Performance By A Duo or A Group
WHAT: I Gotta Feeling Black Eyed Peas
WHY: Because the jury isn't as bold and brave as I want it to be. If they were they'd give it to MGMT's Kids. Although if the Best New Artiste award goes to MGMT, the jury would want to cover their a$$*s and give this one to BEP.
Best Pop Collaboration
WHAT: Love Sex Magic Ciara and Justin Timberlake
WHY: The dance-pop hit with its plush beats and GRAMMY-loved Timberlake wipes out competition even though the Jason Mraz-Colbie Caillat number Lucky holds promise. Sea of Heartbreak by Rosanne Cash and Bruce Springsteen is more country than pop but the weird thing is it made it to the list.
Best Pop Vocal Album
WHAT: The E.N.D.u00a0 The Black Eyed Peas
WHY: Because the jury left Beyonce out of this, with reason. The E.N.D. is terribly entertaining and Colbie Caillat, Kelly Clarkson, The Fray and Pink are no competition really.
Best Dance Recording
WHAT: Boom Boom Pow The Black Eyed Peas
WHY: It's more mainstream than GaGa's Poker Face. But I'd be happily shocked if GaGa's grit paid off here, and maybe even applaud the jury.
Best Electronica Dance Album
WHAT: The Fame u2013 Lady GaGa
WHY: GaGa rules. I hope the geriatric Pet Shop Boys or the middle-aged David Guetta don't take GaGa's well deserved award home
Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance
WHAT: Beyond here lies nothing u2013 Bob Dylan
WHY: Bob Dylan
Best Rock Performace By A Duo Or Group
WHAT: I'll go crazy if I don't go crazy tonightu00a0U2
WHY: U2
Best Hard Rock Performance
WHAT: What I've Doneu00a0 Linkin' Park
WHY: It was the biggest lung-busting anthem last year, although knowing how the tables turn, I won't be surprised if ACDC's War Machine which wasn't necessarily progressive but hit hard anyway takes home the GRAMMY. Or even Metallica's formula hit The Unforgiven III.
Best Rock Song
WHAT: Working on A Dream Bruce Springsteen
WHY: The Boss
Best Rock Album
WHAT: No Line on The Horizon u2013 U2
WHY: U2 and there's no Springsteen here. Green Day isn't as tough a competition. Yet
