Showcasing at a salon in Bandra, seven artists thought up fresh ideas for a show that aspires to be neither a commercial success nor a market-driven sale.
Artist Shriya Pilgaonkar displays her art at the Tribe travelling store.
"It's purely an an artistic expression and a chance to create without being dictated to," says Divya Mehta, creator of Tribe.
The show will include brands like Lemon, designer Varsha Arya's showcase of lights, handbags by Peeps, home accessories by Zephyr and stoles by Ek Karkhana.
"This time, the Tribe is full of a super talented lot of designers who are fresh out of college," says Mehta.
This is the Tribe's second show since they started, and Savio John Pereira's salon, which lends them space, will offer special prices for hair and skin treatments as a bonus on that day only. Artist Shriya Pilgaonkar will exhibit her paintings in pen and ink at the venue.
Taking the experience of shopping and a show to the next level, you may also tempt your taste buds with their sale of chutneys and pickles by local chefs.
If you wish to know when and where the Tribe plans to organise their next show, they also have a crystal ball reader to look into your future.
We chose to simply ask the creator, who tells us, "the next show will probably be in the next two months and we're looking at taking the Tribe out of Mumbai."
At: Savio John Pereira's salon, Anand villa, 1st floor, Pali Mala road, off Carter road, Bandra, Monday 11am to 8pm.
On: 6th December
