The making:u00a0 Pailwan, a rowdy, had planned to kill Ali, and sought
protection from Tanveer, Ali's boss. Eventually, Pailwan and Tanveer
joined hands and conspired to kill Ali. But when Ali realised this, he broke
off and formed his own gang

Ali (35), who had over 15 criminal cases against him, was chased and shot dead at around 11.30 am yesterday at Yarabnagar in Banashankari.

Soon, he gained notoriety, and was in and out of jail many times. Interestingly, he filed a nomination, and won.u00a0

Ali was not only involved in real estate crimes, but also in sand mafia, sources said. Sand mafia. "Sand business is the biggest mafia in Bangalore, and the existing crime lords were unhappy with Ali's involvement in it, so the police suspect them as well," said a source.

South Bangalore Deputy Police Commissioner Sonia Narang said, "It is too early to say who was behind this." But city commissioner Shankar Bidari said at the spot, "We have got some clues about the accused, which will soon be revealed."
