The theft occurred at Lilakunj building in Khar, a stone’s throw away from Rama bungalow, the home where Mandira resides. According to the Khar police, the tenant, Anupa Mohan had left home on April 8. When she returned on April 11 in the evening, she noticed that the door had been broken and jewellery and perfumes were missing. She immediately informed the officials, who have registered a case of theft against unknown persons.
Suprisingly, the building has had no security guard for the last few years making it vulnerable to thefts and other crimes. Speaking about the lack of security, a guard from the other building said, “This is the only building in the area that has no security guard. There is some internal problems in the society.” u00a0
