Three killed in Mysore

Three people were killed after communal crash broke in Udayagiri in Mysore on Thursday morning. The trouble started when people found the dead body of a pig in an Arabic school.

Rumours spread like wild fire, following which members of both the communities started attacking each other. Two people, identified as Tirupathi and Yasir, were killed.

Police rushed to the spot and tried to control the mob by lathi charging and firing tear gas shells. When the mob became uncontrollable, the police fired, killing 15-year-old Zubair Khan and leaving several others injured.

One police jeep and KSRTC bus were set on fire by the angry mob. This is the third communal clash in recent months in the city of palaces.
