Catch a pretty girl waiting for the love of her life and a chrono-displaced hero, who travels back and forth in time in the Time Traveler's Wife
Here today, gone tomorrow. Catch Eric Bana as Henry DeTamble playing a hide and seek librarian with a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel, in The Time Traveler's Wife, the latest DVD to hit stores. The film is based on the number one bestseller, The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.
Grab that bean bag, pick up a bowl of popcorn and whether you're single or with your loved one, this one's a perfect flick for the month of love. Lose yourself in timeless love with this gloriously romantic story of the journey of two hearts. Artist Clare Abshire (Rachel McAdams of The Notebook) shares a deep emotional bond with Henry De Tamble (Eric Bana of Troy), a handsome librarian who travels involuntarily through time. Knowing they can be separated without warning, Clare and Henry treasure the moments they have together, imbuing them with the yearning and passion of two people imprisoned by time and set free by love.
It's intriguing how Clare loves a man so deeply from when she's all of six and how Henry drops off his clothes everytime he vanishes into thin air. He tells the love of his life Clare to leave around clothes in her backyard so when he comes back (or forth) naked in time, he doesn't have to scout around for a pair of trousers.
It's gripping as well as hilarious at times, especially when Henry is laying the table, a few months after he's married to Clare and in a fraction of a second he's gone and the plates lie broken on the floor.
The love between the two is strong, but his continuing unavoidable absences while time travelling and then returning with increasing knowledge of their future -- makes things ever more difficult for Clare.
Watch the hero hurtling through time whenever in extreme duress and his love continuing to inordinately wait for a sight of him.
