Two city techies test negative for H1N1 virus
The test results of swab samples of two software engineers, who arrived at the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) here from the US and admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseasesu00a0on Thursday, have come negative today. With this, India continues to be free from A-H1N1 influenza with 26 cases testing negative for the flu.
Their throat swabs sent for testing to the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) here and the Pune-based National Institute of Virology.
About 19,000 international passengers have so far been screened at BIA and Mangalore airport. The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases is one of the 13 hospitals indentified by the Karnataka government to treat people with suspected flu symptoms.u00a0
