"Soaib Ansari, one of the arrested youth, created a terror group 'Abdullah Muzzahuddin'," Senior Superintendent of Police Saket Kumar Singh told reporters.
"Ansari, a resident of Latehar district, works as a salesman. His father was killed by Maoists one year ago on charges of being a police informer. Ansari wanted to kill a few Maoist guerrillas," he added.
Ansari was arrested along with Mohammad Sajid from Hindpiri locality of Ranchi.
The Ranchi police got baffled early this week after a few posters found in the name of 'Abdullah Muzzahuddin' threatened serial blasts in the city.
The posters had said: "Beware people of Ranchi. Our men have spread across the city. There will be blasts at several places of Ranchi."
