An FIR has been registered against Jeevan (Raju) Idnani, Sunil Gangwani and Anil Chhatani.
On November 29, 2012 after raiding an illegal shed in a 5000 squate metre plot near Kaka Da Dhaba in Ulhasnagar-III, Ulhasnagar municipal officer Arun Pawar submitted a report to municipality assistant commissioner (anti-encroachment department) Yuvraj Bhadane in which he mentioned Chhatani as the landowner and Idnani and Gangwani as those illegally constructing the shed.
Speaking to Sunday MiD-DAY, Bhadane said, “We have filed an FIR against the accused under the MRTP Act after they refused to acknowledge the notice we had served them.”
On February 18, Bhadane had complained (copy available with SMD) to the local police demanding action against the accused. After a verification, police has now registered an FIR against the three men.
“We have registered the FIR against the three and the matter is under investigation,” confirmed Mahadev Pimpalkar, senior inspector, central police station.

When contacted, the mayor’s husband cried foul. “The police have registered a false FIR against us claiming we are contractors. Bhadane is taking revenge on u, since we had passed a resolution in the general body meeting of the UMC to have Bhadane removed for misusing his power. In fact Pawar has sent a letter to the municipal commissioner stating that Bhadane had forced him to prepare a false report against us,” alleged Idnani.
