Aditya Birla Group firm, UltraTech Cement, today said it would open four more outlets of its contruction materials retail chain, UltraTech Building Solutions (UBS), in Maharashtra.

"UltraTech Building Solutions is being launched in Vidarbha, which is a fast-growing construction market in the region," UltraTech Cement's Chief Marketing Officer, O P Puranmalka, said in a press statement.

The region is one of its prime target markets following major development activities that have taken place in real estate, especially commercial space, residential apartments, malls, hotels and SEZs, he added.

UltraTech presently has 25 fully-operational UBS outlets in Kolhapur, Akola, Latur, Karad, Satara and Aurangabad."There are plans to open additional outlets in other places due to the growing popularity of the existing stores," the company said in a statement.

UltraTech already has 130 existing outlets spread out over Rajasthan, Haryana, UP, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Orissa.

"We are planning to have 300 such outlets across India in fiscal 2009 adding a few more states due to the success obtained in the existing UBS outlets," Puranmalka said.

UltraTech Cement is the largest cement-maker in India with a total capacity of 31-million tonnes per annum.
