Vajpayee, 84, was admitted on Friday evening, almost three weeks after he was discharged from the hospital.
AIIMS medical superintendent D K Sharma said Vajpayee will be discharged on Sunday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party leader was admitted to AIIMS February 3 following chest infection. He was on ventilator after his condition deteriorated but his health subsequently improved. He was discharged March 1.
