Hirabaug Mitra Mandal
Where: Tilak Road
About the Mandal: Established in 1970, the Mandal was established by Baburao, a newspaper vendor in the area. The mandal is always known for its 'moving figures'. This year, special deities have been made by Mumbai sculptor Dadasaheb
Pimple and his son Madhavrao, while the main Ganpati deity is made by Vinod Ailapurkar.
Theme: This year the mandal has made moving figures inspired from Lord Krishna's Ras Leela. The figures show Lord Krishna dancing and singing with his gopies.u00a0
The mandal has installed 22 deities of Krishna and his Gopies dancing to the music.
Security: Since Hira Baug is a prime location on Tilak Road; the mandal has taken precautions by installing CCTVs to avoid any security breaches. The mandal has spent Rs 5 lakh on decoration and other expenses.

Hutatma Babu Genu Ganesh Mandal
Where: Near Mahatma Phule Vegetable market, Tulsibaug
Theme: This year the mandal is inspired from the Marathi film Bal Gandharva. Like every year, they have constructed an artificial pond in front of the Mandal with a Shivling and a nandi inside. This pond also holds an earthen pot, where devotees throw in coins and make wishes. It is believed that if the coin falls straight into the pot, Lord Ganesha fulfills all their wishes.u00a0u00a0u00a0
About the Mandal: The Mandal was established 42 years ago by a group of people
including Lakhan Pardeshi and Suresh Shashtri, the founders. The trust conducts numerous social drives including blood donation camps throughout the year, but during Ganpati they mainly focus on the security of the Mandal.
Security: Around eight CCTV cameras are installed in the mandal. There are two cameras each at the entrance and exit. Around 250 volunteers work in groups throughout the day. As the mandal is open 24x7, volunteers work for eight hours everyday.
