Come December, and information on Hollywood, Bollywood, world and regional cinema will be at your fingertips, all under one URL.

The untitled-as-yet website, we are told, is being backed by the likes of producer Nitin Manmohan and actors Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt.

A source reveals that Devgn may blog for the site. Eminent journalist Bhawna Somaiya may head the Hindi film section.

The website will provide browsers the chance to watch short films and documentaries that will be streamed live.

The biggest draw for cinema buffs? You can book tickets for shows across theatres. That's a first since existing sites offer a service that's restricted to mostly multiplexes.

The site promises a database of singleplexes across the country to make booking online easy. Forced to go on an official trip to Indore? No problem.

You can book a late night movie show at Neelkamal Cinema before you leave.
