"Money, get away. Get a good job with good pay and you're okay. Money, it's a gas. Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash. New car, caviar, four star daydream, Think I'll buy me a football team."

Originally known as Vayu, this Rock band has evolved into Para Vayu, which explores a wide range of music. Founded by Ravi Iyer (guitar) and Crosby Fernandes (bass), it transformed into Para Vayu in June 2009 after the release of their album, Wings of a dream. Saumitra Bhat (singer), Aditya Ashok (drummer) and Neil Gomes (saxophone, violin and flute) are now part of Para Vayu.
Speaking on the tribute, Ravi Iyer says, "We are hardcore fans of Pink Floyd and their influence can be seen in major parts of our career. We are true to our music, and we play for ourselves. Plus, we have done Pink Floyd Tributes earlier as well, in 2003 at Pune's Jazz Garden."
As far as inspiration goes, they are influenced by bands like Deep Purple, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. "Tonight, we will play exclusive tracks like Echoes from the Meddle album, Money from Dark Side of the Moon, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Have a Cigar and some of Pink Floyd's regular numbers as well," he added.
Iyer has sung for the movie Raaz as well as a couple of other movies. "I did enjoy it and I got the freedom to play as I wanted. Even in Bollywood, if you are ready to do quality work, it is very rewarding," he emphasises.
